Sunday Swatch-o-rama ~ more beauties from Big T Ranch!

Hello Dahlings!

I have another batch of beautiful polishes from
for your drooling pleasure today!
Yep, these were sent for swatching & review

Let's roll out da eye candy, shall we?
all swatches are 2 coats of color with a top coat of Orly In a Snap

 Flower Garden is a frosty cool pinkish purple pearl with a blue shimmer.
It also has lil turquoise & purple holo glitters
& big metallic flowers in purple, pink & teal.
I had no probs getting lots of da lil bits out
& only a wee bit of fishing required for da flowers.
It went on with minimal frosty pearl brush strokiness
& that smoothed out with tc.

See da pretty blue shimmer?

~~~
 Petunia is arm wrestling for 1st place
as my fav of this polish bouquet!
It's a rich purple when cold...
 ...that shows off it's lil purple holo sparklies
along with asst size hexes in green, pink, purple & white,
as it shifts from purple to NEON PURPLE to...
 ...fuchsia when warm!
No fishing required to load mah nails up
with all this buttery smooth Inkygasm goodness!
You can see why I went all gaga over this bottle of beauty!
~~~

 Robin Egg is da most subtle of da thermals today.
When warm it's a medium light turquoise jelly that really shows off da
big blue holo circles, bars & lil bits of glitter.

 When cold it becomes this rich blue!
The shift is subtle, but you can see it IRL.
My camera could not catch da shift
or I'd have a pic for you. Blerg.

~~~
 Rose Petals knocked mah fuzzy socks off as soon as I unwrapped it!
I didn't even know what color it would shift to when warm,
but it didn't matter cuz that scrumptious hot raspberry jelly
chock full of pink, purple blue & green glitters
plus blue & green holo bits had me at WOW.
 As my hands warmed up, da jelly faded thru da pinks
& showed off all those pretty sparklies!
 When warm, you can see all the glitter colors
floating in this palest pink semi-sheer base.
It looks a bit like those malted Easter egg candies.
I loved this beautiful polish on sight & swatched it last
so I could add nail art & wear it for a couple of days.
Stay tuned for that mani!
~~~

 Tulip is a bold medium dark orange when cold
chock full of both fine Spectraflair
& sliver micro glitter that add a butt-tonne of sparklies.
I have a secret love of orange polish,
even tho it's not da best color for my skin tone.
Tulip is gorgeous!

I did not see this coming. LOL
Why I though Tulip would turn pink or red, I don't know,
but da bright sunshine yellow was a most pleasant surprise.

When warm, it's like having Peeps on mah nails!
This ultra smooth to apply polish is so fun!

~~~
Now that I've filled your eyes with spring goodness.
go get yourself a bouquet of beauty at Big T Ranch
& don't forget to check out da sale on eye shadow & lip balm!
I bought a tube of da Cappuccino lip balm with my original order
& it smells so yummy plus it's SO smooth & creamy!
I wonder if it would work for cuticles?
Oh Robyn? Methinks I have a cunning idea!
>^. .^<
I think Missy's fav is Tulip, but I could be mistaken.
LOL
First Friday Frankens ~ Mega Punk Final Curtain
Hello Dahlings!
If you've been following along for da last year or so,
you should be aware of my frankening pursuit of my ultimate lemming ~
a strong linear neon purple holo.
I decided to make one more attempt
& no matter how it turned out, I'd call it quits.
This is da final curtain call for Mega Punk
& here's what I ended up with...
 Close but no cigar.
It's not what I had in mind, but it ain't bad either.
 Here are attempts 1-5.
You can catch up on this saga HERE & HERE
So for this final performance,
I dumped 1-5 into an empty SV refill bottle I saved just for this purpose.
I then added some cobalt blue jelly
from a polish that had some major sinkage issues
that I needed to add suspension fluid to & before I could do that,
I had to pour off some of da base color.
This worked to bring Mega Punk back to a more neon purple color
from da fuchsia it was learning towards. I could have added more,
but I felt I was at risk of tipping it into purple if I added too much.
Da rainbow is also weaker than I'd like,
but adding more Spectraflair might silver it
as it's already on da edge of that abyss of no return.
 See what I mean?
It leans towards more of an orchid (ala' 2014 Pantone color of da year)
than da standard neon purple of da Essie Mrs. Robinson I'm holding.
Da rainbows are totally wimpy too,
tho' this may be more due to my using SF35 rather than SF14.
At this point, I
 don't know what more I can do to it that won't ruin it completely.
I do have to pat myself on da head tho'
cuz da formula on this is pretty damn fine!
Other than a few crumbs of undissolved pigment,
its buttery smooth & no staining.
I decided to offer y'all a 2fer after seeing this video
in a post from Loki's Lacquer
about how to add white to polishes that have da viscosity to stamp,
but aren't opaque enuf to show up over darker colors.
This info gave me an idea...
 I grabbed all of my Wet N' Wild Chrome minis
& Sally Hansen Hard As Wraps white.
Da top row of stamping shows everything stamped straight from da bottle.
Da white is ok for stamping, but not quite opaque enuf for my picky self.
Da chromes are really foils & while they do stamp,
they're prone to looking faded if da light hits them wrong.
 This pic shows da fading better,
especially on da stampings on da right side.
I added some of da SH to each bottle, gave them a good shaking to mix
& stamped them again.
Da white didn't make a big dif in da red, copper, gold or light green
but da rest of them are much brighter & more opaque!
I grabbed BPS plate BP-42, da altered WNW Grew Up in Cobalt-imore
& da ever brilliant Creative Shop Stamper to add some art to mah nails.
 We have sun today, so you get a sun pic that just barely shows
da weak ass rainbows in Mega Punk
& da opaque stamping using da altered WNW chrome.
So while not a win, my putzing isn't a total fail either.
I haven't given up completely on my quest!
I've been chatting with a certain brilliant indie holo maker
who has successfully created quite a few challenging customs
plus several gorgeous holos that are in da ballpark of what I want.
I did let her know that if she can't pull it off, I totally understand.
Like creating a true yellow or true white holo with good rainbows,
 a neon purple may just be nigh on impossible.
I'm optimistic & will certainly squeee to da world
if she does succeed!
>^. .^<
I still tinks you're awesome for a hooman!
CNT 52 week PNM ~ Ikat & Metallic
Hello Dahlings!
This week da Tart's are showing their Ikat & metallic nails.
I...um...tried something newish & epically failed. LMBBO
Here's da hot mess I made on mah nails...
 Ages ago I used Smooch inks to do nail art & it worked just fine.
This time it seemed to be going ok, but it didn't want to dry
& I smudged my index finger while I applied Seche Vite to da other nails.
Blerg...it just says all that truly needs to be said about this.
 I did however LOVE the base color I used!
with a coat of Orly fdtc.
The polish looks more pink in da shop pics,
but on me it looked more hot coral in most lights
except in da dark room aka powder room's weird lighting.
There is looked more pink coral. Go figure.
 This is under da UV lamp I use to get my gitd pics these days.
I just looked so kewl all glowy like that.
 Ta Da! See why I was all twitterpated over this polish?
 Yeah, this fail looks better in da dark.
>^. .^<
Doh! I know you can do better than dat, Meowmy.
Thanks for stopping by
& please go show some lovin' to da other Tarts!
Sunday Swatch-o-rama feat. Big T Ranch Soap & Candles!
Howdy Dahlings!
Over da past couple of weeks
I've introduced you to a new to me company
Da fun started with an order from me,
then a bit of chatting with Robyn, da creative genius behind Big T Ranch,
& her asking if she could use some of the pics I had posted of her polish.
I said 'Sure!' & offered to swatch for her.
I don't know where that impulse came from, it just popped out,
but I'm so very glad it did & that Robyn said yes.
Today I have da 5 thermal polishes she sent me to show to you!
So yeah, this is an official sponsored post with press samples
All pics show 2 butter smooth squish jelly coats,
unless otherwise stated & I didn't add top coat.
Let's get this swatch-o-rama on da road...
go potty & grab a beverage before you start, as this post is pic heavy
 This is Cat's Meow
This is a bonus pic cuz I at one point I had cold nail beds & warm free edges.
Usually you'll see da colors da other way around. LOL
 Cat's Meow is a blue leaning violet when cold.
 This is how it looks with warm beds & cold tips.
 When warm, Cat's Meow is this brilliant sky blue!
Robyn added loads of fine blue & purple glitters
along with larger pinkish lavender holo circles
& dark blue leopard spots.
I only needed to do a wee bit of fishing to get da large leopard spots
to come out & play, but this is pretty standard with really big sparkly bits.
I posted this polish last Friday with stamping & you can see it HERE
~~~

 This is Circus when cold.
I did need 3 coats of this dreamy teal for opacity
& did a wee bit of fishing for da stars,
but da results were worth da effort.
It also has smaller dots & lil bars,
all in an assortment of bright pastels.

 This is warm beds & cold tips.
This one has a more subtle color shift,
but da fine sparkles & fun glitters give it a fun pop.

 Da light teal color Circus shows when warm is so pretty!
Oh! Guess what?
This teal does not stain!
So no teal on my skin & no teal left behind on my nails.
How cool is that?

~~~
 Confetti is the PERFECT spring party polish!
This is da cool color.
 This is da warm bed & cool tips look.
 When warm, Confetti is spot on spring green!
I didn't need to fish at all to get all those bright green flowers &
purple diamonds out, plus no staining!
No nail art needed when you wear this eye popping polish
that's chock full of assorted sizes
of lil bright green bits & lavender mini bars.
~~~

 Meet Echo!
I call this yummy polish a galaxy mani in a bottle.
When cold it shows a rich purple.

 When your fingers are warm & you tips are cool
da lil lavender & silver holo glitters can look like stars in da cosmos!

 When warm, Echo turns an almost bubble gum pink.
I enjoyed this polish so much it got to sport some nail art!
I'll be posting that mani later this week.
Methinks Friday?

~~~
 Last, but far from least...Hibiscus
This one is another party for your nails!
It's chock full of medium large hex glitters in asst colors
plus a plethora of asst color tiny hexes. No fishing here!
This is the blue violet of cold.
This is warm beds & cold tips.
I did some stamping over Hibiscus & then matted it.
You can get da deets on this mani HERE
When warm, Hibiscus is a warm blue leaning teal.
The warm denim blue color you see in da bottle i
s da color that shows up between da violet & teal.
You can see a bit of it in da pic above this one.
~~~

Are you drooling now or what?
Robyn's creates high quality polishes in a variety of finishes:
gitd, holo, jelly, glitter, duo & multi chrome along with the thermals.
She also makes soaps, candles, incense, mineral eye shadows & lip balms.
She even offers gift stuff for guys!
So you can stuff everybody's stocking
plus treat yourself to some pretties in one stop!

>^. .^<

Put your paws in da air for Big T Ranch claw pretties!

~~~
So yeah, I was sent these beautiful polishes for swatching,
but y'all know me well enuf that I wouldn't have offered to do it
if I wasn't in love with da brand.
So go get yourself some Big T Ranch beauty products,
you won't regret it!
Thanks for stopping by!
