Lemming Squashed B-side ~ Max Factore Fantasy Fire pt 2

Hello Dahlings!

 

When planning my Fantasy Fire mani 

I had narrowed it down to 2 stamping options,

So I did both.

 

Today I have da not as successful version to show you.

It's not a total fail, it just doesn't have da wow factor

that this one did.

 

 See? Not horrible, just not great.

 

 Da line up ~ Whim LBD, Sinful Colors Glow in the Dark,

Max Factor Fantasy Fire

& Nabi Metallic Cinnamon for da stamping.

Da Nabi metallic are from a 30 pc set I got off Amazon last year

& I was very pleased to discover

that 27 of da 30 colors stamp very well!

Da 3 that don't stamp are more of a micro glitter in jelly

than a true opaque metallic.

This set is a great way to get lots of colors

that can be used as both base color

& be stamped with for a low price. R

ight now this set is $37.95US with free shipping.

That's only $1.27US per bottle!

 

I used plate BM-XL132 from Bundle Monster's new

Time Machine collection & of course my Creative Shop Stamper.

 

 

 Yep! Da SC gitd shows thru da Fantasy Fire just dandy.

I was folding a bunch of cleaning towels I had just washed

when this happened...

 

 I see's a shiny!

 

 I wants it!

 

 It keeps changing shape. How it do dat?

 

 Where'd it go?

Lemming Squashed! ~ Max Factor Fantasy Fire

Hello Dahlings!

 

Today I have a squashed lemming to show you!

I've always thought that Max Factor's original Fantasy Fire

was gorgeous & that it sucked cuz they didn't sell it in the US.

 

So I had resigned myself to admiring it from afar,

until one day I was browsing at Color4Nails

and saw that they had the original version in stock!!!

Alas, da original version is no longer available,

but you can still get the New Version

 

So I bought it & here's what I did with it...

 

 Look at da glow!

 

 Da Line Up ~ one coat of Whim LBD,

2 coats of Sinful Colors glow in the dark,

2 coats of Max Factor Fantasy Fire 

& I stamped with Nabi Metallic Bronze 140.

 

 I used Messy Mansion plate 27

& my beloved Creative Shop Stamper.

Both are from Beautometry.

 

 This is da gitd under 2 coats of Fantasy Fire!

My after stamping pics didn't turn out well,

but I had a lot of fun wearing this mani.

CNT 52 week PNM ~ Saran Wrap & Glitter Polish!

Hello Dahlings!

 

This week da Tarts are doing manis featuring

da Saran Wrap technique &/or glitter polish!

 

I did this...

 

 I did da Saran wrap part using a bit of small scale bubble wrap

& 2 Anonymous Lacquer polishes:

Electric Cotton Candy which was a custom LE for da Hello Holo FB group

& a Moon Walking prot
otype.

 

I added 2 coats of You Had Me at "Hello Kitty." for my glitter polish.

YHMAHK didn't require any fishing to get lots of da lil black,

pink iridescent & lil yellow bits out

& only mild fishing & dabbing were required to get da kitty heads

& metallic red bows to come out to play.

 

I did a double coat of Seche Vite

to lessen da wee bit of texture created by da glitters.  

 

 My right paw got 2 buttery coats of MWP on da pinky,

middle & index fingers with an accent of ECC on ring & thumb.

 

 I did da reverse on my left paw.

Doing da Saran Wrap technique dulled da rainbows of these polishes,

but da colors coordinated with da glitter & it's still a fun mani.

HPB Presents ~ The Beach!

Hello Dahlings!

 

Summer has sprung for many of us,

(unless you live south of the equator
& in that case Happy Winter to you)

so this month da Hobby Polish Bloggers
are doing beach themed manis.

 

I did this...

 

 I've had da OPI Color Paints staring at me & quietly chanting 'Use us!'

for a couple of weeks now & this seemed like a good opportunity.

 

 I started with one coat of Silver Canvas.

This is da silver chrome underoos that come with da set.

It's a bit streaky, like chromes tend to be,

& it shows EVERY flaw on your nails.

But don't sweat it,

cuz when you cover it with da colors,

da flaws don't show so much.

 

 I then splodged about with da rainbow of colors.

Da only one I didn't use was da pink...because I didn't.

I added a coat of Sally Hansen Dries Instantly

& moved on to da stamping.

 

 I got my set off Amazon.

It comes with da 8 colors & da silver chrome undies.

I totally blame Amanda Some Weird Sin for my getting these

& I will blame her again when I manage to water marble with them.

She reached thru da interwebs & twisted my arm hard!

Really! She sent me da link & everything, so it's all her fault.

 

I did da stamping using Sugar Bubbles plate SB 031,

my Creative Shop Stamper (both from Beautometry)

& Mentality Opaque White.

 

Now I want to go to da beach!

A late First Friday Franken!

Hello Dahlings!

 

Last week was nutso with guys coming to haul off junk,

cleaning ladies & a camp to prep for...

 

 

so I didn't get my First Friday Franken mani done, let alone posted.

 

But I did get it done on Sunday...

 

 This is Back Up When Spoken To

made from 2 of Wet N' Wild's Confectioners collex

from a couple of years ago.

Da polish was & is ok, but da bottles were a pita!

They were in round minis with these long thin caps

that didn't fit in my storage drawers,

so I decanted them into full size bottles, mixing them in dif combos

& renaming them based on what da original names were.

This one looks a lil pink due to my polishing on autopilot

while doing my Tart's mani on the other hand.

So I have a layer of Polish Me Silly Was Up Girl

under 2 coats of BUWST on my fingers.

 

 I then stamped using one of my franken stamping polishes, Bougainvillea,

using Chez Delany plate Halloween 002 from Beautometry

& my Creative Shop Stamper that you can also get from Beautometry.

 

This is what 2 coats of BUWST really looks like.

 

My life is somewhat settling down

& hopefully this means I can go back to posting my usual 3 days a week.

I love da 80's, but not when it's da temperature

& while that doesn't seem very hot to many of you,

try dealing with it when you don't have air conditioning.

 

Cats don't like hot weather either

& can you blame them?

 

I'se hot & bored, Meowmy.

 

I's melting.

 

Even Ziggy & Jazz are melting!

These 2 are fine, just hot & lazy, I promise. LOL

CNT 52 week PNM ~ Roses &/or Pink & Lilac

Hello Dahlings!

 

This week da Tart's are showing their roses &/or pink & lilac manis.

 

I did this...

 

 I started with 2 sparkly coats of Polish Me Silly Was Up Girl

It's listed as a duo chrome, but so far I've mostly seen da pink.

Still, it's pretty enuf that I don't care if it has a gentle shift.

 

 I stamped da roses using Cici & Sisi plate 11 from series 2,

 Hit the Bottle I like to Mauve it, Mauve it! & my Creative Shop Stamper.

I got da C&S set from Amazon.

Da HTB stamping polish & CSS are from Beautometry.

CNT 52 week PNM ~ Plaid &/or Red, Orange & Green

Hello Dahlings!

This week da Tart's are doing plaid &/or red, orange & green manis.

I did this...

 Um...yeah.

I loved my base color!

It's 2 sparkelicious black scatter holo coats of Cuttin' Edge Tar

from da 2 soon to be released 2nd half of da Flowers In The Attic collection.

I used nail art pens to do my plaid lines.

Da red & green are from Bundle Monster

& while they worked, they weren't totally opaque.

Da orange pen is from da Sally Hansen retired nail art pens
& is uber opaque.

I got mine from Cassie Cosmetics.

Cassie's is my fav place to look for vintage drugstore polish

& Harry offers most excellent customer service!
