CNT 52 Week PNM ~ Oceanic & 3 Neons!

Hello Dahlings!

I'm getting uber pooped of being a day late & a dollar short.
I sure hope my life settles down soon!
Swinging between being an allergy med zombie
& a whirling dervish trying to get caught up is exhausting.
You know you're whacked
when it takes 2-3 days to complete a freakin' mani!

Ahem...I digress.

This week da Tarts are showing their oceanic &/or 3 neon manis!

I finally managed to do this...

 It turned out better than I could have hoped for
considering how fried I am these days!
Too bad da green is a stainer.

 Da line up ~ Nanacoco White Snow (undies);
Kleancolor Neon Amethyst, Neon Aqua & Neon Green,
Halloween pumpkin head glow in the dark w/iridescent glitters;
plus da bit of cosmetic sponge
held in reverse grip tweezers I used for da gradient.

 I used this plate from Cuttin' Edge Nails
along with my beloved Creative Shop Stamper
to add da lil puffer fish & sea greenery.
Da Hit the Bottle stamping polishes were nicely opaque
& washing my stamper head had it stamping like a dream once again.

 I do love these goofy Halloween polish bottles!

 I should have done 2 coats of da gitd, but they do glow.

>^. .^<

Jazz has laser vision too?
Awesome!

Thanks for stopping by
& please go show da luvies to da other Tarts!

Sometimes It's the Little Things

Hello Dahlings!

Today I have a nail fail for you.
It's not the worst mani ever.
It just didn't come out how I wanted it to look.
I've been nutso cray cray busy this month &
being frazzled & lazy while trying to do nails rarely works out well.

 I know this looks just fine to many of you,
but there are flaws that I will 'splain.
I just feel that I didn't do justice to da beautiful polishes I used.

 Da line up ~ Ruby Kisses Pitch Dark Blackness,
Big T Ranch Soap & Candles Lagoon & Eclipse,
None of these are currently available
tho' I'll be swatching da Big T Ranch polishes very soon.
I just couldn't wait to get them on mah nails!

Basically my fail started with my undies of PDB.
You can see that the bottle is almost half empty
cuz I've used it quite a bit.
Alas, it's started to thicken
& rather than add a few drops of thinner,
I used it as & ended up with lumpy undies. Blerg.

This made Lagoon's 2 buttery smooth,
color shifting coats of beauty lumpy too.

I then added 2 thin coats of sparkly Eclipse
between da tips of my fingers & the bottom of my points.
With da already present lumps this made my nails thicker
in an almost platypus bill kind of way. Blerg.

Enter da stamping.

I used this lace plate from Cuttin' Edge Polish
with da Hit the Bottle stamping polish

I had da dangedest time getting da lace on mah nails!

It could be due to da plate, da stamper or da polish.

At this point I think it was da stamper
cuz it had been sitting out for several days
& I think between skin oil & dust
I really should have washed it before stamping.
It didn't want to pick up the polish
or transfer what it did pick up well.

In spite of da voids in da stamping,
da Hit the Bottle polish was very opaque
& easy to see over these dark colors!

See da pretty colors trying to peek out?

All of these da Big T Ranch & Hit the Bottle polishes
are beautiful & had great formulas!
I just didn't do them justice with lumpy undies
& not doing proper maintenance on my stamper.
10 coats of polish due to my taking 3 days to get this mani done
didn't help da lumpy appearance either.

>^. .^<

I'se gonna pretends I didn't see these claw fuglies,
even tho' you wore it all week.

Thanks for stopping by!
If I can't be a good example,
I'll settle for being a horrible warning.

Mani Bee Mine feat. Cuttin' Edge Polish!

Hello Dahlings!

Have you ever had an idea pop into your head
& you can't let it go until you do it?

That's how this mani came to bee!

 Silly? Yes.
Whimsical? Yes.
Fun? Hell Yes!

 I started with 2 squishy sparkly coats Cuttin' Edge Polish Hot Heels.
Alas, Hot Heels is not available at da mo'.
Please ignore da stains on my overlays that are showing thru da polish.
This pic really showed da stains in a gnarly way
& it's so not da polish's fault!

 I then added one coat of Cuttin' Edge Glow Bug on all nails
& then I added a 2nd coat to my ring nail.
No fishing required to get those white & black asst glitters to play!

 I used Finger Paints Black Expressionism & my Creative Shop Stamper
with Vivid Lacquer plate VL 008,
currently not available

 & plate QA3 from a set I bought off eBay ages ago.

If you're wanting to bling it up with new ideas for your nails,
get yourself a Small Mystery Bag  of nail art fun!

 And YES...it GLOWS!!!!
With a name like Glow Bug, how could it not?

CNT 52 week PNM ~ Neon & Indie

Hello Dahlings!

This week da Tarts are showing their neon nails &/or an Indie polish!

How could I not do both!

 KaBLING!
Pretty Serious The Pink One is my neon Indie.
It's even brighter IRL!
Da blue shimmer isn't shy either
& it went on in 2 smooth coats.

 Da line up ~ Ruby Kisses Black Utopia, Pretty Serious The Pink One

& my Creative Shop Stamper for da stamping bits.

& da Black Utopia for da funky frenchies.

 I made decals for mah thumbs so I could dab a bit of white
(Mentality Opaque White cuz it was handy lol)
in da peaking kitty eyes.

I liked this mani so much & wore it for a whole week!
Well that & I was uber busy,
so changing out my mani wasn't happening.

>^. .^<

 Meowmy, why you'se always stamping black cats on your claws
& nots me?

I much cute-i-tudier than Ziggy, Luna or Jazz!

Thanks for stopping by
& please go share da lovies with da other Tarts!

Sunday Swatch-o-rama feat. Cuttin Edge Polish!

Hello Dahlings!

Today I have a not so new to me brand to share with you!
I've bought quite a few Cuttin' Edge Polishes
in da last year or so and when da splendiferous Sara
contacted me about swatching I was all over that!

So 3 of these bottles were sent to me for swatch & review,
a couple were gifts & one I purchased. I like to mix it up!

all swatches are 2 coats over my franken base
with SH Dries Instantly tc unless otherwise noted

Here we go!

Have you ever watched Gold Rush on da Discovery channel?
At the end of each show da dif groups show jars
with how much gold they got that week.
That's what this polish looks like on da nail with da bonus of holo rainbows!
No fishing required to get da blingy holo bits & hexes out.
While it's technically a texture polish,
all those shiny bits of treasure played nicely
& didn't feel like it was going to remove skin
if I bumped into Mr Inky.

~~~
 Grim
This soft misty gray polish
with it's subtle rainbows was da perfect back drop
for da HPB April Showers challenge I posted last Friday!
It went on buttery smooth & was a joy to apply & wear.
~~~

SKULLIES!!!!!
One of the reasons I love Cuttin' Edge is that Sara loves skull glitter too!
I had no prob getting good coverage of asst shiny bits,
da black jelly is nigh on opaque in 3 coats
& I didn't have to fish all that much to get a skully to come out & play.

~~~
It's purple with soft scattered rainbows...what's not to love!
Buttery smooth & oh so pretty.
Purple holo lovers, you NEED this!
~~~

My secret passion for orange polish is more than happy
with this shimmery bright golden orange!
My bottle had sat for awhile, so I had to aerobicize it a bit,
but all that finger lickin' orangey goodness was worth it.

~~~
This is a candy store in a bottle!
Sara has put a lil bit of everything sweet
into this pale pink jelly for our nail viewing pleasure.
Da jelly is smooth & opaque in 3 coats
& I didn't need to go fishing
to get an abundant buffet of glitters on each nail.
~~~

Inky's Tip for Happily Applying Chunky Glitters ~
It's a fact...chunky glitters will sink to da bottom of da bottle eventually.
Gravity, it's da law!
I figured out that if I store my bottles of chunky bits o' bliss upside down
or at least set them on their cap (or in a small glass)
for a while before using them,
da glitters get redistributed without a work out on my part
& I get a much easier application
with greatly reduced fishing or no fishing at all.

~~~
Guess what?
All of these beauties are ON SALE RIGHT NOW!!!
You have until April 26th to get your paws on these polishes
for less than da already reasonable prices, plus all da nail art goodies too!
Save 30% on your Cuttin' Edge Polish orders by putting
HAPPY30
in da coupon box during check out.
HPB Presents ~ April Showers!
Hello Dahlings!
This month da Hobby Polish Bloggers FB group are doing April Showers manis.
I did this...
 April showers & other types of wet weather
are something I'm very familiar with
cuz I live in da Pacific North Wet.
Not my best stamping, but fun enuf!
 I started with 2 buttery blingy coats of Cuttin' Edge Polish Grim.
Da soft holo rainbows were da perfect background!
(da shop will reopen soon!)
& my Creative Shop Stamper to do da stamping.
Both are available from Beautometry
 I stamped using 2 of my stamping frankens
& while both stamped ok,
Pewter needs to be lightened a bit to more of a gray
than da dusty black it looks here.
>^. .^<
Me no likey getting wet furs,
so I'se gonna nap da April Showers away.
Wakes me when da May flowers bloom?
Thank for stopping by &
please go show da luvs to da other
Whimsical Ideas by Pam ~ Cookie Monster!
Hello Dahlings!
I was going to use this mani for an upcoming challenge prompt,
but it wasn't quite what I had in mind,
so you get to see it now!
 This is 2 coats of the currently defunct Dead Set Babes Burn Book
with 2 coats of Whimsical Ideas by Pam Cookie Monster
on my ring finger as an accent.
I LOVE COOKIE MONSTER!
I now feel compelled to use it again soon
cuz it goes so well with my current hair color.
Dat's bright...meow likey!
CNT 52 week PNM ~ Negative Space &/or 3 Pastels
Hello Dahlings!
This week da Tarts are doing negative space &/or using 3 pastel polishes.
My overlays aren't really all that great
for techniques that require partial nekkidness of da nail.
This last touch up has some unabsorbed clear acrylic powder
between da layers of gel that look like white damage spots.
My nails are fine, just not up to going nekkid.
So I went with 3 dark pastels from Paint Shop Polish
over a neutral from Carpe Noctem
CN will reopen this Friday, April 17th.
 It's cute, but I feel that I need to do a mani
that will do these yummy dark pastels justice!
They all stamped just fine, tho I want to test them over dark polish.
Carpe Noctem Taupey Tips was a great base
with it's neutrality & soft rainbow.
2 coats of TT with a coat of SH Dries Instantly & I was ready to stamp.
with Carpe Noctem Taupey Tips.
& Betina plate B-10 to stamp with da PSPs.
Da Betina plate & lil flower gleequins were a thank you from Beautometry
for containing my wait problem until my pre-ordered products arrived.
Not my best effort, but it met da need.
>^. .^<
I know you can pretty your claws better than dat, Meowmy.
Thanks for stopping by
& please go visit da other Tarts!
