The Devil Wears Polish ~ Halloween Delight NOTW!

Hello Dahlings!

Yep it's Friday & I've been wearing the SAME MANI all week!
This only happens when I'm travelling
or I have a Stamp Camp coming up.
This week is a Stamp Camp prep week
& I know to put on a mani that I like
cuz I'll be looking at it all week.
It also means my cuticles get trashed
cuz I can't lube as much
& da card stock sucks all da moisture out of my skin. Blerg.

So I'm apologizing up front for my scary ass zombie cuticles.

On da bright side... I LOVE THIS MANI!!!

 Holo, glitter, skulls & cross bones...what's not to love?

 This is 2 yummilicious coats of
It's more bright neon purply than da original Afternoon Delight,
so YES, you need to get this one too.

 This is one coat of Halloween.
It's jam packed with small black, purple & silver bits
along with a healthy heap o' black holo glitter!
I opted to go for 2 blingtastic coats
on my rings & thumbs for this mani.

 Duh! Of course I added gitd.
These water decals are from Pueen thru Amazon.

Looky! I found da sun!

Both of these must have beauties can be found in da
Discounted Prototypes  section & while you're there,
check out all da other stuff on SALE right now!
($1 from each bottle in da ILB section sold
goes to da National Breast Cancer Foundation)

Why are you still here?
Go fill that cart NOW!

>^. .^<

A lil Ziggy porn before you go...

 Rub mah belly, please?

 Do me!

I'm a sexy Ziggy Bear!

Simples Week 13 ~ Skittles with Dots

Hello Dahlings!

This week's Simples lesson is a recap combo of 2 previous lessons:
Da Skittle mani ~ each finger is painted a different color or design
Dot mani ~ Do I really have to 'splain this one?

I also wanted to continue with my Halloweenie themed manis,
so I came up with this...

 Meh.

  Da line up ~ Bonita pearl white
(from da Halloween set of 4 currently available at Rite Aid),
 Princessa white pearl, neon green, neon purple & neon orange gitds
& Bonita black (from da same set as da pearl white)

 One coat of Bonita pearl white.
It's was a wee bit bubbly, but not all that streaky for a pearl
& pretty decent for a cheap polish.

 This is 2 coats of da Princessas.
They wanted to get patchy on me, but they settled down.
I like the colors in the set of 24 gitd polishes from Amazon,
(they lean more cool toned)
but the formula can be a bit dodgy
as some colors are more sticky jelly than others.
Da 24 square bottle set from Nabi on Amazon
is da better value for both price & quality.

I added da dots with my tiniest dotter using da Bonita black.
They didn't turn out quite how I wanted,
but at least they glowed in da dark!

>^. .^<

Ciri's love affair with bubble wrap continues...

 What's under here?

 Is that a molecule I sees?

 Pesky thingy keeps just out of reach!

Got it!

Thanks for stopping by!

Crumpet's Nail Tarts Pick N' Mix ~ 60's & Texture Polish

Hello Dahlings!

This week's CNTPNM is da 60's & a matte or texture polish.
Da best part of this challenge
is that we can pick what we want to do with da 2 prompts!

I'm doing all Halloween manis this month cuz I want to.
I couldn't figure out how to combine Halloween with da 60's
& use matte or textured untrieds,
so I went with Halloween & untried texture polishes.

 Ta Da!
I used da stencils to mask off da lightning stripes,
then applied a thickish coat of da background colors.
I immediately removed da stencils with tweezers
& waited for da polish to dry...it took like forever!
(ok, more like 15-20 minutes)
I then took a tiny paint brush
& filled in da areas that had been masked.
No tc need with texture polish!

 Da untried line up ~ OPI Jinx & Alcatraz...Rocks!

which made doing this mani easy peasy!

Next up ~ 70's & gray with a color

>^. .^<

 What?
(Dang, I was trying to take a pic of Ciri napping in a cute position...)
Could you put your head down like it was, Ciri?

 That's almost it...pull you face away from da box a bit...

...got it! Thanks, Ciri!
(I'm not kidding, this actually happened
including my giving him verbal instructions that he followed!)

Thanks for stopping by &
please visit da other Tarts!

Sundays are for Swatchoramas!

Hello Dahlings!

Yeah, it's been like forever since I posted on a Sunday.
I got so behind on my Show & Tell haul posts as well as my
Does it Stamp? posts that getting back on track has been tough.

So I decide to try something new!
For at least da next few weeks
I'll be posting polish collections from

Why just this brand?

I LOVE TAMI & HER POLISH!!!
If I didn't, I wouldn't want to promote it.
It takes time to paint my nails, take good pics,
remove da polish & repeat several times.
Then comes da selecting, cropping & making sure da polish
is as color accurate as possible.
(So if you think swatchers get 'free' polish, we don't.
We spend hours earning those polishes.
It easily takes 1 hour per polish from painting my nails
to emailing Tami da finished pics.)
So yeah, this is a sponsored post.

So let me introduce you to da
All swatches are 2 coats over basecoat.
If I added top coat I will note it with
that pic along with da link to that polish.
Tami's new formula is fast drying & butterlicious!!!

This is with tc under LED light,
but in da shade this multichrome shows it's true colors...

 ...you get shifts of gold, copper, green, blue & even purple peeks out.
This pic shows da green, gold & copper.

 I caught a bit of da blue around da edges here.

~~~
 Be My Frankenstein under LED light.
A lovely medium green
with a moderate golden holo rainbow.
~~~

 Demonic (w/tc) is one of those photographic challenges.
Under LED it looks like a medium dark brown holo...

 ...but indirect lighting brings out da copper, blue & purple.
I love polishes that have something fun
going on no matter what da lighting!

~~~
 Geist w/tc under LED
Multichromes are so fun when da weather changes
since gray days can bring out all da pretty colors!
 I caught a bit of da purple, blue, green & gold here.
~~~

 Graveyard Gray under LED
This blue leaning gray is one of my favs of this collection!
You can see it in action in my Party in da Graveyard mani
(I have 2 more manis featuring this polish posting this month.)

~~~
 Haunt Me w/tc under LED.
 When I saw this beauty in da shade,
I didn't want to take it off!
I caught da green, blue & purple here...
 ...and da purple & pink here!
~~~

 Mostly Ghostly under LED
This grayish white also has a subtle pinky purple
shimmer that likes to play peek-a-boo.
Another must have for holo polish enthusiasts!
(I used it for da base color in my Party in the Graveyard mani
as well as for another mani coming soon.)

~~~
 Zombies Need Holo 2 under LED
This one is a warmer olive green compared to BMF.
The Zombie mani I posted on Friday is to celebrate
the season 5 of The Walking Dead starting TONIGHT.
Methinks this is another must have if you like earthy greens!
Guess what?
ALL of these polishes are on SALE RIGHT NOW!!!
So save yourself some moola while getting your paws
on this Most Excellent Halloween 2014 Collection!
Okay, one more Halloween polish to taunt & tease you with...
Ghoul under LED
This bright green holo is to be found in
(It's also used in da Party in da Graveyard mani.)
It may or may not live to see a new life in da core holo line...
...so grab yourself a bottle
when you're stuffing your cart with Halloween polish
>^. .^<
Go get some of dose pretties for your claws
or I zap you wif my laser eyes!
Thanks for stopping by!
The Walking Dead! feat. The Devil Wears Polish
Hello Dahlings!
Guess what?
This Sunday is the Season 5 debut of The Walking Dead on AMC!
SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
Yeah, I luv me some southern fried zombie killing action.
 To celebrate this momentous occasion,
I did some blood splattered tips using water decals
along with a comparison of 2 generations of zombie polish.
 This is 2 butterlicious coats of
This rich olive green looks fab on its own
& plays well with other polishes
so you can wear it all year long.
Zombies ain't just for Halloween anymore!
 Did you wonder about the '2' in the name?
On my thumb is Zombies Need Holo Too.
(also from The Devil Wears Polish)
ZNHToo is from Tami's 4-free base days
& ZNH2 is from da Halloween 2014 line
done with da new 5-free base.
They are NOT dupes!
TDWP Zombies Need Holo Too & Alternailtive water decals
that I got on Amazon for $5. Da s/h was included as 'free',
but since da brand site also offers free s/h,
you're better off ordering directly from their site in da UK.
Yeah, they cost a wee bit more than most water decals,
but they have really really cool images.
>^. .^<
Ciri & Ziggy on Zombie watch!
 I no see any zombies on dis side. How 'bout you Ziggy?
 Nope, no zombies on da street.
 Hey, Ziggy! Wat' dat?
 Ooooo.....it a zombie?
Nah! Just da mini hoomans out playing.
I bored & needs a nap...bye Ciri.
Thanks for stopping bye!
The Devil is Partying in da Graveyard Tonight! (aka The Devil Wears Polish feat. She Sells Seashells)
 Hello Dahlings!
Today's mani came about in an odd way...
I wanted to get a swatch pic of this polish for Tami TDWP
This is 2 hauntingly smooth coats of
This lacquer is more than just a white holo!
It also has a subtle violet shimmer.
I also wanted to use this Graveyard Full Nail Stencil
from She Sells Seashells with a gray polish.
(If you go to She Sells Seashells RIGHT NOW
you can save BIG
I know I could have just painted the gray over the white,
added fdtc & then gone on from there.
However, I knew that using the gray as da base color
could dull the colors of da gradient
I wanted to do over da stencil.
So what's an Inky to do?
Invent a way to do what she wants, that's what!
(at least, I think it's a new idea...
I haven't seen anyone else do quite this exact technique)
(Alas, Ghoul is listed in da prototype section as sold out.)
I grabbed these polishes
& my green, rectangular, hard stamper
& went to work.
 I removed da green rubbery part from da handle
& set it on da table.
I then attached da stencil to da stamper.
I clipped da stencil boarder off on da left side
cuz it didn't have anything to stick to
& wanted to curve up cuz of da curve of da stamper.
(Note to self ~ remove da cat hair before going to da next step!)
I then did a standard 3 color gradient
using a bit of cosmetic sponge.
I used da bottle brush to add Inky all da way up.
 I removed da stencil before da polish could dry
& then set da stamper aside
while I did da same gradient on my nails.
I went back to da stamper & added Graveyard Gray
using a tiny paint brush.
I tried to stay in da lines,
but I lost some of da crispness of da image anyway.
I let GG dry a bit
then added a thick coat of Milani Glosse'.
This is my fav clear polish to use for DIY decals.
While this dried I tc'd my other nails.
 I used tweezers to peel da decal off da stamper
& a thin coat of da Milani Glosse' to attach da decal to my nail.
Small scissors worked a treat to remove most of da excess decal
& acetone with my clean up brush took care of da rest.
A coat of Seche Vite to seal in da goodness
& I was good to go party in da graveyard with da Devil!
I even got a sun pic!
So next time you have a tricky bit of nail art you want to do,
consider doing it as a DIY decal to make your life a smidge easier!
>^. .^<
I wants candy!
(No Ciri, choco isn't for kitties!)
Thanks for stopping by!
