Black Holo comparison

Hello Dahlings!

I have to admit that when it comes to holographic polishes...I've turned into a bit of a ho. LOL I'm particularly fond of black holos (& purple & pink LOL) &
now have enough to do a mini comparison.

Da line up: Zoya Storm, BB Couture Orion's Belt, A England Bridal Veil, Color Club Beyond & because I don't have 5 black holo polishes (yet!) I threw in Color Club Harp On It.

All nails have 2 coats with no top coat.
Pinky ~ Storm, lots of lil rainbows flashing, goes on &
cleans up easily with a good dry time.
Ring ~ Orion's Belt, while it shows a nice scatter holo in da bottle,
it doesn't show up on da nail as well, went on fine, but resisted clean up.
Middle ~ Bridal Veil, I've heard lots of rave reviews of this polish but found it to be
anti-climactic with almost no holo goodness & it stained da worst of da bunch.
Index ~ Beyond, more of a gunmetal than a true black, goes on &
cleans up like a dream plus cleans up easily. Da linear rainbows are awesomeness!
Thumb ~ Harp On It, basically da silver equivalent of Beyond.

Of course, I couldn't just leave my nails with just one color! I French tipped da blacks with Harp On It & tipped da silver with Beyond. I used da bottle brushes to apply da FTs & then da skinny striper to even out da demarcation lines. I finished with a coat of Seche Vite...only da Color Clubs retained their holo goodness. Storm, tho toned down, still sparkled a bit, but da other 2 pretty much lost it. I'm SO glad Color Club developed a holo formula that can be top coated!

Thanks for stopping by!
