Hello Dahlings!
Sorry about the lack of posts,
but between Stamp Camp, Mr. Inky's b-day & my mom visiting again,
I barely found da time or energy to paint my nails
with nothing left over for posting.
This week's Simples lesson is on how to do
& I blinged it up with more She Sells Seashells.
I bought da embellishments
& da vinyl stencils/stickers were sent to me for review.
(Yep! That's my 'official' disclaimer. Deal with it.)
This is another random effect technique,
but it also can be used to create nail art
that looks like watercolor painting.
So here we go!
TA DA!
Da line up ~ Serum No5 Snow in love, Wet N' Wild Contact High,
Nina Ultra Pro Anaconda Liked It, China Glaze Ride the Waves
& Down The Bayou Lacquer Glow Holo Topper Blue
plus a medium small round paint brush
I started with 2 coats of Snow in Love
then added a coat of Seche Vite.
I have to pat meself on da back... I love this pic!
Getting in-focus glow in the dark pics
from my cell phone camera is often an exercise in futility.
I can get pics that show da glow,
but rarely with enuf clarity to be able to read da label.
My ring finger shows Snow in Love in da light.
It has lots of asst blue glitters
plus a sprinkling of green & gold bits too.
I did a watercolor wash using Contact High,
Anaconda Liked it & GHT Blue.
This technique is really easy!
I started with small blobs of green near my cuticles
& added acetone with da brush while splodging about
until I liked how it looked.
Then I added da jade in da middle
& used da brush w/acetone to overlap da 2 colors.
I finished by adding da blue to da tips
& blending it with da Jade.
Da acetone disperses da polish a bit
& I used da brush to pick up polish blobs
so I could get a dappled effect
like da sun filtering down thru water.
For my ring finger I used this Fish Scale Full Nail Stencil
I then added BLING!
pinky ~ sea shell cut out embellishment
middle ~ two 3.5 mm silver shell studs
index ~ one 5mm Silver Shell Stud
(da cut out shells are out of stock)
Thumby got a soon-to-be-released metallic gold anchor sticker
Then I added a coat of da GHT Blue over everything
& another coat of Seche Vite.
You get enuf stickers/stencils on each sheet
to do a full mani or a bunch of fun accent nails.
One of da cool things about using these stencils
& stickers is their 2ferness!
You can use both parts for nail art!
See? Getting a clear gitd pic ain't easy!

These pics are from my mom's visit a couple of weeks ago.
She brings her kitty, Lil Miss Dee, to visit Ciri
when she comes to visit me.
This time Lil Miss shared her red light with Jazz (under da stool)
& Luna (in da middle of da pic) while she watched.
What she didn't know was that Ciri was watching her!
Lil Miss practicing her Halloween Kitty pose for Ciri.
Thanks for stopping by!
