Nail Art A Go Go Challenge! ~ Day 11 Wallpaper

Hello Dahlings!

Today we get to show you our wallpaper. I had this great idea based on da bathroom wallpaper our landlady had when I was like 4, but it didn't work. I then tried another method hoping to get the result I wanted...no go. So I came up with a 3rd idea that I discarded & ended up doing this...

My Flocked Wallpaper
I wanted to do a stereotypical 70's, mid-west, eye-talian,
red flocked brocade on white, whore's boudoir motif...
but just couldn't get it to work.
(This isn't meant to insult anybody living in da mid-west
or of Italian decent, it's just a particular style
that was popular back then tho it was probably called something else.)

Da line up ~ Ruby Kisses French White,
Recollections Party Pink flocking powder,
Orly Top2Bottom & chevron French tip sticker forms.

I started with 2 coats of French White & a coat of Seche Vite.
I applied da stickers to all my nails
then applied da T2B to one nail,
peeled da stickers off & piled on da flocking powder.
At least this is what I did for my pinky. ring & middle fingers.
When I got to my index finger I forgot
to take da stickers off after applying da powder
...guess what? More of da powder stuck to my nails!
I peeled da stickers off right after I powdered my nail & got better results.
I did da same for my thumb.
This flocking powder was really scratchy & I didn't like how it felt.
I used a dif brand of flocking powder last time I did this
& it was much softer & stuck better to da polish.
Good thing I only wore this for one day
cuz by da next morning, most of da flocking had rubbed off.

Tomorrow's nails are much more to my liking...Camouflage!

>^. .^<

Must run away from da fuzzy nails...
...before dey eats my cuteness!

Thanks for stopping by & please visit da other ladies!

    1. Me too! I think my tactile obsession is a big part of why I remember that bathroom wallpaper 40+ years later. LOL
