Nail Art A Go Go Challenge! ~ Day 3 Warm vs Cool

Hello Dahlings!

Today's prompt is Warm vs Cool & boy oh boy...I had me some fun!
This one is pic heavy, so go get a snack, use da potty etc before y'all settle in.
I'll wait............all set? Good!

This is my multi color dual gradient Warm vs Cool mani!!!
(with a cameo by LynB Designs Frosty Snot holo topper)

Originally I had this whole idea of 'splainin how the common view of warm vs cool colors (red, orange & yellow are warm vs green, blue & violet are cool) was very Color Theory 101 cuz any color can be warm or cool depending on how the pigments are mixed. Add a smidge of yellow or red to warm a color up or add a smidge of blue to chill it out. Just enuf to shift da tone, not da value.
See why I didn't go there?
(da curse of having been an art major once upon a time lol)

Here's where I did go...

Line up #1: Peripera WH801, Kleancolor Storm Cloud
& Shany 10 plus da bit of sponge I used for this part
(da KC started as a KC nail art polish that I poured into da dregs
of a Milani White On The Spot bottle to make a light gray crème)

 2 coats of WH108
It's slightly streaky on da 1st coat, but self leveling on da 2nd coat.
(this is how a white polish should behave!)

I used da bit of sponge with stripes of all 3 colors
to create a cuticle to tip achromatic gradient.
(I had started on da next step when I had a DOH! moment
& realized I hadn't taken a pic of this step yet.
That's why you're only getting 3 fingers here. LOL)

Line up #2: Kleancolor Neon Fuchsia, Ruby Kisses Orange U Jealous,
Kleancolor Neon Yellow, Ruby Kisses Lime Green With Envy,
Ruby Kisses Blues Clue, Ruby Kisses Electric Purple
plus da sponge bits I used

I used 3 colors per nail & carried over 2 colors from each nail
to da next one to make this vertical rainbow gradient
that not only covers da rainbow
but each color goes from light to dark on each nail.

Pretty as it is, I needed me some bling factor!
So I added a coat of LynB Designs LE holiday bonus
linear holo top coat polish ~ Frosty Snot.
(Isn't Jenna BRILLIANT for naming it that?)
Followed by a coat of Seche Vite.

pinky ~ red, orange & yellow

ring ~ orange, yellow & green

middle ~ yellow, green & blue

index ~ green, blue & violet

thumb ~ blue, violet & red

Instead of having warm vs cool fight it out,
I decided to have all da colors living in harmony on my nails!
I ended up wearing this on my right hand for nigh on a week cuz of work.
It's a good thing I loved it so!

>^. .^<

I is all worn out from all those sparkly colors!
I needs a nap on da warm box so I don't get too cool.

Thanks for stopping by & please go visit da other Polish Passionista's!
