Nail Art A Go Go Challenge! ~ Day 7 Primary

Hello Dahlings!

WOW! We've done a week of prompts already? Where does da time go?
Today's prompt is Primary, which is basically red, yellow & blue. These colors make me think of Piet Mondrian & his Composition series.

 My feeble attempt at
Composition II in Red, Blue and Yellow
by Mondrian in 1930

index ~ one coat of Red Red

middle ~ 2 coats of Neon Yellow
(it's even more sheer in person & really needs white undies like many neons)

ring ~ one coat Modern Black
& all the other colors as needed plus a coat of Madly Matte over SV
(which you can't see here cuz I took this pic
before adding MM & this pic came out better)

pinky ~ one coat of Sapphire
(I didn't know this polish has lil sparklies in it, I thought it was a crème)

All nails got a coat of Seche Vite in da end

Missy Gnarly Gnails did her version last October.
Hers came out much neater than mine,
but she's Missy & I'm not,
so that's to be expected.

Da line up ~ Scandal Modern Black, Kleancolor Sapphire,
Wet N' Wild Red Red, Kleancolor Neon Yellow,
Scandal French White & Kleancolor Madly Matte
(not shown ~ striping tape & a tiny detail brush to fix boo boos)

Tomorrow's nails ~ Still Life

>^. .^<

Paw not sharing again!
Why he not share his fishy soup with me?

Thanks for stopping by & now go visit da other ladies!

  1. I could never get to grips with recreating his work. Due to making straight lines wonky. Brilliant manicure

    1. 2 words for you: striping tape! Granted, I still managed to get some wonky lines, but it looked great at arms length. LOL
